Basic Makeup Tools
Using the right makeup brushes and applications is at least as important as having the right makeup technique. If you don’t have a lot of tools of your own, you shouldn’t worry about the cost of a makeup kit. You just have to look at some of the basic products that are missing from your collection and see which ones are the most important.
First of all, you will need a brush. This should be the first item of your collection because a reliable brush is not that expensive and you will probably use it daily and for multiple purposes. There are a few different types of brushes from which you can choose, but you should focus on getting one with a spiral dome head, especially if this is your first one. After that, you can expand your collection with other shapes and sizes. Depending on your budget, you have to choose between a brush which can be used for blush and bronzer and one which can be used for concealer and powder or you can buy them both.
You will also have to take a look at some eye brushes. These are a little bit cheaper than blush brushes and you only need a couple of them for your entire eye area. You should focus on getting an eye shader and an eyeliner brush. A simple lip brush is also a great addition to any makeup collection. This is all you need in the brush department; two or three brushes should be enough for most makeup techniques and styles, but if you want to experiment with more tutorials, you will have to expand your brush collection. NARS brushes are highly recommended no matter what you decide to choose.
Two of the tools which will certainly come in handy are the pencil sharpener and the eyelash curler. Both of these tools are necessary when you will want to focus on your eyes and there is no way around it.
Keeping your skin healthy is not that difficult, especially if you are using the right makeup kits. However, you should also use an eye makeup remover before you go to bed. This is the only way of avoiding skin problems and applying makeup will be much easier if your skin is clean and healthy.
