How To Apply Lip Balm

Applying lip balm is probably the easiest part of your daily routine and it almost doesn’t even relate to makeup in general. Even so, it is good to know exactly what you should do if you want to obtain maximum potential from your lips and keep them away from cracks and chops.

Lip balm will work more effectively if you use it on clean lips, so try to avoid using it if you are wearing lipstick. A medium sized layer of lip balm should be enough to keep you protected. In fact I would much rather have too little lip balm on my lips than too much. The excess will eventually get wiped off when you are not paying attention and it won’t help you in any way. A thin layer should be absorbed by your lips in 10 or 15 minutes and it will keep you safe from a harsh environment which usually makes your lips crack.

If you are confident that you won’t smear it all over your pillow, you can always use some lip balm before going to bed. It will have time to penetrate your lips and it will maintain them soft and healthy.
